We remove your old popcorn ceilings in a day or less with no mess. I use the highest grade of materials possible, I also specialize in wall texturing, dry wall, and full interior and exterior painting.

Removing those old dingy acoustic ceilings and replacing them with a new modern texture can dramatically update the appearance in older homes.


We first move heavy furnishing as needed. All floors, walls, and fixtures will be completely masked. This creates a waterproof barrier, and allows for containment of materials. The acoustic is then sprayed with water and removed. The ceiling is then swept down removing all acoustical particulates. Repairs are then made such as, taping cracks with nylon mesh tape, patch holes, and on all drywall ceilings joint and nail divots must be coated with joint compound. The ceilings are then textured with your choice of finish, the masking removed, all debris is hauled away, and your house is completely vacuumed.


All this can be accomplished in a 2500 square foot home in one day with little to no mess. The ceilings must dry for a minimum of 24 hours. All ceilings are then prepped for paint. Caulking is applied at ceiling to wall joint, and above moldings for a clean look. All ceilings are then prime/sealed using Kilz brand primer/sealer. A finish coat of Top customer brand paint is then applied. uses only the highest quality of materials on all aspects of this process.

Textures

Knockdown:

A Knockdown texture is similar to an exterior stucco "Spanish Lace". Our state of the art machinery alows us to apply the texture more uniformly.

Orange Peel:

An Orange Peel texture is the closest texture to getting a smooth finish. It's appearance and texture is similar to the outside of an orange peel.

Smooth Finish:

Smooth Finish, which is done by hand, sets us apart from our competitors. Most of our competitors do not offer a Smooth Finish. Our process envolves skim coating over hard acoustic plaster or drywall.

All floors are enveloped in plastic. Wood flooring is double wrapped to provide a sound vapor barrier.

All walls are enveloped in plastic that is in turn fastened with tape to the floor plastic. Certain wall coverings, such as wallpaper, and paper borders are exposed to damage. Please consult your estimator to determine if your wall coverings are subject to damage.

To insure a quality job, all ceiling fixtures are taken down by the crew prior to the removal of your acoustic ceilings. These fixtures will include: heavy chandeliers, ceiling fans.
